Where it all began

After graduating from college (go Ferris State University -- Big Rapids, Michigan!), I became a graphic designer. As luck would have it, at my first "real" job I met my husband who had just returned home from serving in the military. It was a long, twisty road with loads of bumps & challenges, but somehow we ended up together & tied the knot. Our story has led us to 4 states, 2 amazing kids, 3 crazy dogs & a few businesses!

Stops along the way

I quit my job at an advertising agency when I was pregnant with our first child. It seemed like a good idea, but soon I was bored & needed to do something creatively which led me to a scrapbook store. That relationship led to a business called Memories by Mail & participating in scrapbook shows across the country. It was a fun, crazy ride!

Where we are today

My babies aren't babies anymore. Both are quickly turning into fully capable young adults. I'm very proud of them both and know they are ready to start their own journey.

That takes us to Hey Kid and our latest chapter! Come with us as we continue to create together and make beautiful things!
